Check them out for yourself, and contact our location in Franklin, Tennessee, about some of our PWCs for sale! We proudly serve all those from Nashville, Spring Hill, and Columbia.
The Tennessee River
Of all the places to take your PWC, the Tennessee River in the western half of the state might be one of the most popular. With over 600 miles of river to explore, winding through some of our neighboring states, there’s certainly no shortage of spots to enter the water. In fact, the Tennessee River 600 is hosted here every year, consisting of an 8 day ride for PWC enthusiasts that benefits Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency.
But if you’re just looking for a fun afternoon, then find a good place near you to launch your machine and enjoy a day full of thrills.
The Cumberland River
Across the northern part of the state, you can access the Cumberland River, which offers all sorts of great scenic spots and a variety of challenging waterscapes. You can stick close to civilization, or you can find a more remote spot to enjoy some solitude.
This is also where you’ll find Old Hickory Lake, a reservoir that the river feeds through. This can give you a little more space for riding and is only a short drive from Nashville. Spend the day riding around this pristine waterway and then head into town for some exciting nightlife.
Watauga Lake
If you’re going to be closer to Appalachia, consider swinging by Watauga Lake. This 10 square mile reservoir is tucked away in the most beautiful part of the mountains. Not to mention, accessing the area can be a little tricky for some, so you likely won’t encounter crowds. If you can’t get enough of the area, consider staying overnight in one of the quaint lodging accommodations, while also exploring the surrounding Cherokee National Forest and hiking the famous Appalachian Trail. There’s even a drive-in theater for a fun throwback activity!
Douglas Lake
In the same area, you can also check out Douglas Lake in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. It’s one of the more popular sites, but is also a whopping 28,000 acres. While this area is well known for its fishing opportunities, you might find it gives you the space you need to enjoy some time on your PWC. Rip through the still waters without worrying about bumping into someone. It’s also a little closer to big cities, so it’s the perfect answer to those who enjoy the ruggedness of the region but are more comfortable when they’re close to bigger populations.
Norris Lake
Closer to Knoxville, you’ll find Norris Lake, yet another hot spot for PWC enthusiasts. In fact, if you don’t have your own, there are plenty of opportunities to rent one of these machines so you can still get in on the fun without committing to a longer investment. If you show up to Norris Lake and feel like there are one too many people you’d have to share the water with, just drive around! There are lots of other great waterways in the area and many of them are perfect for a PWC enthusiast like yourself.
And these are just some of the more popular sites. There are lots of lakes and rivers that’ll allow you to enjoy riding on the water with your PWC, but first you’re going to need to find a model that’s right for you. Check out our inventory here at Cool Springs Powersports in Franklin, Tennessee, and then let us know which models you’re most excited about viewing. We’re happy to help all those from Nashville, Spring Hill, and Columbia.
